Dear SA Members,

NOTICE is given that the 2024 Annual General Meeting of the Scrabble Association will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday 16 March 2024 at Jurong Green Community Club.

AGENDA

1. Matters Arising

3 To consider and adopt the minutes of the 2023 AGM, which were circulated by email.

4. To approve the Audited Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2023.

5. To elect Officers and Committee for the term from the conclusion of the 2023 AGM until the conclusion of the 2024 AGM.

6. To elect two new Honorary Auditors for the year to 31 December 2024, with thanks to Christino Rio and Sarah Law for serving as Honorary Auditors for 2023.

7. Any Other Business

NOTES

The meeting will commence as soon as practicable after the first day of play of the Jurong Green CC Open, which is expected to be around 7 p.m.

Any members interested in standing as Officers or Committee Members, or volunteering as 2024 Auditors are encouraged to email secretarytoucanet.com. Members are kindly requested to do so by 10 March 2024 in the interest of an orderly meeting. Officers and committee members should be prepared to attend meetings at three-month intervals as stipulated by para. 8.4 of the constitution.

Cheah Siu Hean will stand down as President at the 2023 AGM. Ricky Purnomo has indicated his willingness to stand as President.

The Treasurer, Marlon Prudencio, must retire, and the Committee recommends that he be elected Secretary, and that the current Secretary, Toh Weibin, be elected as Treasurer for the 2023-2024 term.
