Re: Thailand International King's Cup 2003

We are pleased to announce that our annual tournament, "18th Brand's Thailand International King's Cup",
is now set to be staged from June 26th - 29th, 2003, in Bangkok with the winner's prize of USD 6,000.
Below please find details of the tournament. Should there be any queries or further information is needed,

Open Division, open to all without restrictions.

-- Champion: HM King's Cup + USD 6,000 + Gift Set
-- 2nd place-getter: Baht 80,000 + Gift Set
-- 3rd place-getter: Baht 30,000 + Gift Set
-- 4th place-getter: Baht 20,000 + Gift Set
-- 5th place-getter: Baht 10,000 + Gift Set
-- 6th place-getter: Baht 7,000 + Gift Set
-- 7th place-getter: Baht 5,000 + Gift Set
-- 8th place-getter: Baht 4,000 + Gift Set

++Bonus Prize++
Each player (except the winner and the 2nd place-getter) will receive Baht 50 for every winning game on
June 26-27 and receive Baht 100 for every winning game on June 28-29.
    ***This means that everyone has a chance to win prize money.***
++Super Bonus Prize++
If a player wins every game he played on any particular day, he will receive five times the Bonus Prize
he would normally receive on that day instead of the normal Bonus Prize.

-- The above prizes will be given only to the players who have played all 27 rounds completely.
-- The prizes will be awarded at the end of the tournament.
-- Everyone who receives the total prize money of over 500 Baht during the tournament is subject to paying
a 5% witholding tax.

-- USD110 (Reception Party included) For those who has confirmed and sent in their application forms

-- USD120 (Reception Party included) For those who send in their application forms AFTER APRIL 30

-- OPTION: The special meals (dinner on June 26 & June 27 and lunch on June 28 & June 29) will be
arranged for an additional cost of only USD 10 per person.

-- SOWPODS 2000 <OTCWL+OSW4> (there will be a list of all 2 & 3-letter words and their inflected forms
provided for each player. This list can be opened at any time during the game)

==Challenge Rule==
-- Free challenge, a player does not lose his turn when he challenges the acceptable word(s)

==Game Timing==
-- Each player is allowed 25 MINUTES per game.

==Format==
-- 27 rounds swiss-pairing based. Then the top two players play the final.
-- The two finalists go to final with special rule: They have to play two games. If one of them wins both game,
then that player will be the winner. But if they tie with a win and a loss, the third game will be played.
The winner, in this case, is the one who scores the most when combining scores from three games.

The 15-round Early Bird tournament will be held on June 21-22, at the Central Plaza Rama 3 Shopping Complex
starting from 10.00 to 18.00 on both day. The application fee is USD 20. If you wish to apply for this Early Bird
